Running injuries can be frustrating, impacting many aspects of life. At Alterra, we understand that running is more than just a form of exercise—it's a way to track fitness progress, socialize with friends, manage mental health, and control other health conditions. Our back bay therapists, who are also avid runners, know firsthand the emotional and physical toll of being sidelined.

This shared passion drives our focused approach to helping runners return to their beloved activity. We tailor our treatment plans to address specific needs, considering training goals and running styles. By combining our expertise with personal experience, we aim to not only heal injuries but also optimize movement patterns and strength, helping you return to running stronger and more resilient than before.

CONDITIONS WE TREAT

  • Hip flexor strain

  • Proximal hamstring tendinopathy

  • Patellar tendinopathy

  • Pes anserine bursitis

  • IT band syndrome

  • Patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner's knee)

  • Achilles tendinopathy

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Shin splints

  • Bone stress injuries or stress fractures

We know injuries can make you FEEL like you'll never run again. At Alterra, we look forward to helping you prove yourself wrong by getting back to running STRONGER than ever.
